Go Fund Me link-Chau Family

By Karen Cunningham 01/01/2017, 5:30pm CST

On December 29, 2016, our Austin hockey community suffered an unimaginable tragedy. Please consider donating to the Chau Family at the below link. The Chaus were well known and loved within our hockey family. Our hearts are breaking at this tragic loss, but the kids need our help to get through this time.  If you have ever made a donation or considered making a donation to help those in need, this is the time to do it. Any amount helps and means much more to them than we can imagine. Once you have donated, please post on your Facebook and social media accounts for others to help out.

Smarthockey School

See the carousel in action at Smarthockey School!

Just recently Smarthockey, Inc. opened up Sunday morning training sessions at Chaparral Ice.  Smarthockey uses Russian Progression Training Techniques developed in the former Soviet Union.  Smarthockey employs the "Gym on Ice" methodologies which include unique equipment like carousels, springboards and parallel bars.

In one drill students use a Smarthockey Carousel to work on their advanced edge control, body balance, footwork and cross overs.  This is done both forward and backwards on the Carousel.

Here's a photo gallery link showing the carousel in action: http://www.austinhockey.org/photos.
